Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has unveiled her new Cabinet, making enhancing Scotland’s education system and improving opportunities for young people the top priority. John Swinney, remaining Deputy First Minister will take on this education brief.

Replacing him as Cabinet Secretary for Finance and the Constitution is Derek Mackay – previously Minister for Transport and Islands. He will have responsibility for the Scottish Budget, fiscal policy, and taxation, amongst other things.
