Since 1982 CTG has sought to ensure that charities are treated fairly on all matters relating to tax.  This allows more of the money that charities raise to be spent on supporting their beneficiaries.

Conservatively we estimate that CTG has saved the sector £10 billion mainly by ensuring that tax measures not designed to impact on the charity sector are not needlessly imposed on them.  This has been achieved by positive engagement with HMRC and Government.
